Description

AQUACEL Foam non Adhesive MADICAZIONE IN HYDROFIBER INDICATIONS: It can be used for the management of: – Leg ulcers, pressure (stage II – IV) and diabetic foot; – Surgical wounds (eg post-operative wounds left to heal by secondary intention and skin donor areas); – Partial thickness burns; – Traumatic wounds (such as abrasions and lacerations); – Exudate absorption in cancer ulcers (eg. Fungal skin cancers, cutaneous metastasis and Kaposi's sarcoma). HOW TO USE: for exuding wounds before applying the dressing, cleanse the wound area with suitable cleaning agent. The dressing should extend beyond the wound area for at least 1 cm. When using AQUACEL Hydrofiber tape format in the deep cavity wounds, leave at least 2.5 cm away from the wound for easy removal. Fill the deep wounds not more than 80%, as the dressing Hydrofiber in contact with the wound fluid expands riempendone spaces. Apply the dressing to the wound and cover with a dressing that can retain moisture or other appropriate secondary dressing. Remove the dressing when clinically indicated (eg spillage, excessive bleeding, suspected of being infected). The dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days where clinically indicated (except in burns where it can be left in place for up to 14 days). For dry wounds: in addition to the instructions above to position the dressing over the wound and moisten it with water or sterile solution remains just above the area of the lesion. Cover the dressing that maintains a moist environment to prevent the dressing from drying and consequently sticking to the wound. For partial-thickness burns: before applying the dressing, cleanse the wound area with suitable cleaning agent. The dressing should extend at least 5 cm above the surrounding skin over the burn or other adjacent dressings, as the dressing retires later absorbency of exudate. The dressing should be covered with a pad of gauze woven sterile properly fixed. In the period immediately following the occurrence of burn (up to 4 days), copious amounts of wound exudate may require that the saturated dressing is removed and replaced with a new dressing. Remove the cover dressing periodically and check the dressing while it remains in situ on the burn. In this indication adherence of the dressing to the wound bed is a desirable feature. Non-adherence to the medication parts may indicate a deeper burn or infection. As soon as the riepitelizza burn, the dressing comes off or is easily removable. In partial-thickness burns, the dressing can be left in place for up to 14 days or when clinically indicated. If the burn was infected, you may need frequent inspection of the wound. CONTRAINDICATIONS: the dressing should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or who have had an allergic reaction to the medication or its components. WARNINGS: disposable. Sterility is guaranteed except in the case where the casing is damaged or opened prior to use. Should be adopted appropriate supportive measures when indicated (for example, the use of graduated compression bandaging in the treatment of venous ulcers or pressure reduction systems in the management of pressure ulcers / bed sores). The blood glucose control, as well as appropriate supportive measures should be provided in case of treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. The infection is not a contraindication to the use of the dressing. If the infection does develop while using the medication, it should be started on antibiotics, according to clinical indications, by a healthcare professional. The dressing can facilitate the control of minor bleeding. If dressing removal proves difficult, it should be completely saturated with water or sterile solution corpse and removed slowly. As the dressing provides a moist environment that promotes the growth of new blood vessels, occasionally these newly formed vessels may produce a wound fluid blood-colored. The medication is not indicated as a surgical swab. It should not be used in the abdominal cavity or internally to sutured lesions. Store in a cool, dry place (10 ? C-25 ? C / 50 ? F-77 ? F).
