Haemorrhoids (also known as piles) are enlarged blood vessels which can be found around or inside your anus. They normally dont cause pain, so you may not realise you have haemorrhoids, but they can cause itching, dry skin, and discomfort around the affected area. You may also notice a lump which hangs out of the anus and needs to be pushed back in after you have used the bathroom.
