Pepto-Bismol Oral Suspension contains the active ingredient bismuth subsalicylate. It is specifically formulated to provide relief from the symptoms of an upset stomach, indigestion, heartburn, nausea and help control diarrhoea. Pepto-Bismol is thought to work by coating irritated tissues in the stomach and intestine, along with a mild antacid properties, to reduce inflammation and discomfort.
